The shared world being built
The multiplayer design centers on a shared outdoor world with persistent characters, structures and resources. Players can host or join a session. Camp and trade posts are intended as protected areas, with PvP outside them.
The multiplayer work is undergoing integration and testing. Shared interiors and dungeons still need further work, so the current solo experience should not be mistaken for a finished MMO.
Trade routes and crews
Cargo contracts and crew deliveries are being connected to the world, inventory and save systems. The design includes shared rewards, cargo theft outside safe areas and a chance for the original crew to recover it.
These features are in development and testing; their final form may change as the game is integrated and verified.
What public servers require
Public dedicated hosting is planned. Secure player identity, anti-cheat, persistence, monitoring and larger-session performance testing still need work. No public player capacity or opening date has been announced.
We will update this page as those milestones are verified. For current progress, see the development journal.
